EDGEMOOR LIVING

WHY CHOOSE EDGEMOOR?

Read the following testimonials first:

"When the pandemic struck, we were wondering how we would cope, especially with the constantly changing rules, policies and advice coming from the government and medical organizations.

"We found that the large yard on this acreage, more room in the home, and such a short distance to shopping all added up to an oasis of sorts, especially when we had to quarantine.

"We could entertain larger family gatherings, outside, in privacy. We could go for walks down into the coulees to the river. And not meet anyone!.

"We were able to work from home because of the high speed fiberoptic cable internet that is provided here."

“When we leave the city core behind and arrive at our “forever” home here in Edgemoor, it feels like a relief and an escape. The kids have really enjoyed being close to nature and the amazing space around our home. We appreciate our neighbours’ homes and the very nice variety of architectural styles that make this a rather timeless neighbourhood. The evenings are wonderful out in the fresh air of big sky country. The views are amazing. We are so close to shopping and schools, it’s hard to believe that we are in the countryside.”

"The factors going into our initial lot purchase in Edgemoor continue to be the same reasons we enjoy our property so much now that the build is complete. In our opinion, there is no better combination of privacy, proximity, lot size and view in the Lethbridge area. The large lot sizes allow plenty of room between houses, while still supporting a neighborhood feel. The city amenities are much closer than many of the current West Lethbridge subdivisions, with the new YMCA rec center being a 2-3 minute drive, and a 10 minute drive to the South side of Lethbridge. One of the most important factors for us was the view. There is no better view in Lethbridge, with the combination of coulee, river, and rocky mountains. We are very happy with our new property, as well as our growing list of great neighbors."

West Lethbridge is the fastest-growing division in terms of population, ongoing infrastructure spending, new subdivisions, new amenities such as restaurants, clinics, retail stores, schools, and the massive ATB Leisure Centre. Lethbridge University is located here.

There are very nice higher-end subdivisions, including the newest: Edgemoor at Sunrise Point.

One of the nicest geographic features is the Oldman River, separating South Lethbridge from West Lethbridge. The bridge approaches and span are travelled at 90 km/hour, ending at the newly-twinned Whoop-up Drive extension. This makes driving almost anywhere a breeze, with Crowsnest Trail (Highway 3) reached in just a few minutes, most shopping in 10 minutes and Scenic Drive even more quickly. From Edgemoor to Costco in the southernmost portion of Lethbridge is 13 minutes. There just isn’t the congestion found in other parts of the city.

Living in West Lethbridge with all its established and emerging amenities is a sheer pleasure, and open country surrounds the entire area. It is a great example of sensitive and sensible urban planning.

And Edgemoor itself is an escape to the countryside with all the advantages of city living. Imagine living on a one-acre lot with your family, close to nature, the river valley just steps away. City water, high-speed internet, and paved roads all the way add to the comfort here.
